Located in the northern Caribbean lowlands of Costa Rica, the impressive Arenal Volcano is a natural phenomenon that attracts thousands of tourists annually.
On the way to the volcano, the tour stops in the famous town of Sarchi, which is known as the birthplace of Costa Rica's artisans and the multi-colored painted oxcarts. As we continue our trip, we will drive over the mountains through vegetable plantations, coffee fincas, acres of ornamental plants and finally cattle ranches until we arrive at the town of La Fortuna. Lunch is then served in a cozy restaurant with an excellent view of the volcano from the parfking lot
From there, the trip brings you to Lake Arenal where you may see coatimundis and other animals. Due to government regulations the tour is not able to enter the national park.
From the lake, the next destination will be the Baldi hot springs, where you relax in the steaming natural thermal waters of various pools as they descend down the landscape, even enjoy an optional massage or other treatment (must be reserved ahead of time). Be careful of the middle slide, straight down and a sharp turn at the bottom, it sent me reeling!
Finally, a wonderful dinner will be served while looking up at the Arenal Volcano.
