Welcome to Costa Rica - San José
Arrive at San José airport and transfer to Adventure Inn. If you have time, take a short bus or taxi into San Jose and its Central Market and pedestrian walkway, start to acclimatize yourself to Costa Rica, and adjust your baggage for the tour about to begin. We have free luggage storage if you want to leave unnecessary items behind.
Pacuare River Whitewater Rafting
Experience world-class Class III–IV rapids on the Pacuare River. Shuttled down old logging roads deep into the Pacuare River gorge, you will be given a twenty minute crash course on procedures and safety. Then begin 30 kilometers of consistent class III and IV rapids on the warm Pacuare River through lush rainforest. Shore-side lunch included. The Pacuare is ideal for average tourists, no special skills required!
Caribbean Snorkeling & Rainforest Hike
Enjoy a snorkeling adventure around the coral reefs then a guided rain forest hike. If weather prevents snorkeling, we have an excellent, highly recommended canopy tour through the Talamanca mountain rainforests as alternative. Or include the Animal Rescue Centre, Waterfall and Chocolate House tour.
Tortuguero National Park Canals
Two day/one night excursion into the biologically rich and tranquil Tortuguero Canals with covered boat rides and guides to help find and explain the exotic plants and animals. Optional (June to October) night turtle nesting tour available. Experience monkeys, sloths, crocodiles, and hundreds of bird species.
Arenal Volcano Region
Travel to Arenal Volcano area. Watch the volcano on the horizon get closer and see it create its own micro-climate. Check into hotel at the base of majestic Arenal Volcano. Enjoy the bustling town of La Fortuna or relax at your hotel with constant views of mighty Arenal.
Tabacon Hot Springs Full Day
Full day at world famous Tabacon Hot Springs basking in therapeutic warm mineral waters. Enjoy acres of exotically manicured gardens and pathways leading to countless volcano-heated waterfalls, cataracts and swimming pools, swim-up bars and restaurants. Delicious lunch and exotic buffet dinner included. Paradise if ever there was one!
Arenal Area Activities
Choose from guided nature hikes, horseback rides to waterfalls, visit the hanging bridges, or explore touristy La Fortuna. Multiple activity options available in this adventure-rich region.
Departure Day - San José
After breakfast, depending on flight departure time, maybe check out San Jose's Central Market, a museum, or pick up last minute souvenirs then shuttle to the airport. Share stories and photos of your Costa Rica experience.

The package includes all accommodations (6 nights), daily breakfast plus 4 dinners, all transportation from arrival to departure, all guided tours with licensed operators, safety equipment, and professional guides. International flights and personal expenses are not included.
No experience necessary! Our guides provide a comprehensive safety briefing before departure. The Pacuare River offers Class III–IV rapids that are suitable for average tourists with proper guidance.
Most zipline tours have age and weight restrictions (typically 8+ years and 70-250 lbs). Children must be accompanied by adults. All safety equipment is provided and guides are trained professionals.
We have backup plans for all activities. Rain is common in Costa Rica and many activities continue in light rain. If conditions are unsafe, we'll reschedule or provide alternative activities. Your safety is our priority.
